We are inspired by hundreds of things daily. Sometimes we realize it, others may just be subconscious. If you're one of the thousands of photographers at Imaging USA this week, you should DEFINITELY see plenty of inspiration around you. The inspirations could be as obvious as a TV show or as subtle as the design of the floor tiles. The question is, how do we keep track of all these things in order to easily recall them later? Enter the camera phone. Of course the best photos would come from the iPhones, Blackberrys and other smart phones. But regardless of the quality, the vast majority of us have this very accessible tool for capturing these things that inspire us. Think of it as visual note-taking. Doing this will change the way you look at the places, people and objects around you. Keep your eyes peeled for that cool design on your fast food cup. That perfect color scheme. Or maybe you like shape of that tree...you hippie. Compile these daily photos and keep them on your computer. Below are some photos I've taken recently of interesting textures, shapes and design.

Now next time you hit a creative roadblock, get your camera phone shots and open the flood gates on those ideas.

Great idea! Thanks for sharing.
(01.14.10 @ 09:48 AM)Hey, this is a great idea..............why didn't I think of that?? We all have phones so now we just have to remember that when our photographer's eye spots something cool, different or inspiring to snap it! Thanks, I'll be visiting this blog often!
(01.14.10 @ 04:10 PM)I have caught myself doing documenting neat textures and scenes. Try even twisting your phone a little bit, creating some cool blur effect.
