Ashley Quinn

Hi lbobians!

I've been keeping up with all things lbobi since learning of the Rodgers little blog at Imaging USA. Thanks guys for being here and making such a warm and way cool environment. It's nice to be part of this group.

What prompted this post is that my new app just launched and I wanted to share with other photogs! It's called "Ashley Quinn" and of course it's free. It's designed by ProphotoApps which I learned about at Imaging this year. I'm excited about it and I think it's going to be a great way to keep my current clients thinking about my photography and potential clients a chance to easily see what I'm about!

One of my favorite parts about the app is the Daily Pic feature. You can upload a ton (yes, I know very specific - that's my language not prophotoapps of course) of pictures and then each day a new one is featured. I know you are thinking "Well what's so special about that?" Ok well for me it is huge because it's one thing I don't have to think about. And that's great especially during this season of snow days and sick days that eat away at my time allotted for work (aka play). To get clients to check out the app everyday I'm offering 8 free wallets if you notify me that your image is pic of the day.

One other feature that I am liking is the "For You" section. Clients can register, I am notified and then I can upload a few images just for them that they can have on their phone to share or use as wallpaper.

My app is one more tool in the social networking arsenol. I'm still blogging, tweeting and facebooking. And dude, now I have an app!

Check it out if you get a chance. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for sharing Ashley. That really sounds interesting.

I thought this was a great find at Imaging too! My only concern was that the app download is only good for iPhones right now. You cannot download the app on any other smart phone at this time. They are working on incorporating other phones in the future, but for right now if your clients do not have an iPhone, they cannot download the app. CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.....I would like to be wrong on this one!

Jennifer, you are right! And it was something I considered as well. But I'm finding a large percentage of my clients have iPhones. And if they don't they should. OK, just kidding, a little.
Really though, it's just another way to reach out to those folks who do embrace new technology. There was minimal time investment and reasonable cost so for me... I thought it was worth it!

Ashley, I agree that everyone should have an iPhone too!! Ha! I do think it's a great idea and I think I will go ahead and move forward with my app as well. Can't wait to get yours!

Cool, Jennifer! Good luck with your app! Let me know how you like yours once you get it going and how you are using it. Best of luck :)
