Rural Indiana hits the big city!!!
Photography by Jayme owner Jayme and I decided to take a trip to Chicago (Rosemont) to attend the 2010 PPA Tour and listen to Allison Rodgers and Hanson Fong give presentations.
The seminar was at the Hyatt Chicago. Apparantly the Hyatt Chicago on River Road in Rosemont, IL is completely different than the Hyatt O'Hare on River Road in Rosemont. I had been to the latter for a Hot Wheels (yes, Hot Wheels...don't ask) convention so I knew (so I thought) where it was.
We get there and realize there wasn't very many photographer-type (read: those carrying cameras) people around. However, we did notice a Coleman (camping/fishing/outdoors) equipment show going on. We went to the front desk and were alerted that we were, in fact, at the wrong hotel. The CORRECT hotel was down the road a bit (probably a mile if that). Whoops!!
Never one to pass up a fun opportunity, we asked the guys at Coleman if we could pose with some stuff for our blog to tell our story. They were more than willing. In fact, I think they wanted to take us home with them.
I think we are a little too rural for our own good...the fact I knew what chest waders and an Ugly Stick were impressed them.
