A PAPERLESS Studio - what does that look like?
So I posted a question on twitter about having a paperless studio and what that means for everyone - and seem to get a good bit of response.I'd really like to start a longer discussion on this here on lbobi. I'd love to move in this direction but paperless does not mean the lack of personal communication with my clients - like online ordering. So what does this PAPERLESS studio look like to you?
Dave & Quin Cheung of DQstudios have a document scanner and use Evernote - I hope to have them post on how that works for them.
For ARP:
I'd like a better management of receipts & invoices that come in
Less back and for on any hand written notes on orders
Better online job-managment
What about you?
Here are some of the responses from fb & twitter
Let's talk about this!!!

Jennifer - most states have laws that you typing your name + some identifying item will hold up in court.

keep posting, I want to learn more. My goal has always been a paperless studio. It's time!

From the client facing point of view I have a client services section (password protected) on my website which gives clients access to:
pre session questionaire (form)
portrait agreement (form)
investment guide (pdf)
session guide (pdf)
ordering guide (pdf)
On the back side I use a Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500M to scan all my documents (i.e. invoices from vendors, etc.). Its an incredible device, it scans both side of the pages at the same time. It comes with OCR scanning software so that allows you to search within the documents. You press the scan button and within 5 seconds later I have a fully searchable pdf of the document.
Scott!
This scanner sounds AMAZING!! It's the same one that Dave has and I just have not investigated it yet but now I think we're going to have to get it.
