Google can help... where we once sat glued to the screen playing with Google Earth to find landmarks in foreign lands (and our own house! Come on.. it wasn't just me).. you can now use Google Art Project to visit the worlds best galleries and see some of their best/most popular pieces... Google Art Project lets you wander the galleries ala street view and zoom in on particular pieces.. You can see every line and crack and the fine details. It is enchanting.
