The history of PPA and Photography.
I think it would be good for every professional photographer to watch this video. It's a history lesson of the development of photography in America, starting back in 1846. Even if you are not a member of Professional Photographers of America, it is a really interesting overview of the history of Photography. It focuses on the development of the first trade association National Photographic Association by Abraham Bogardus and how it eventually became the PPA (Professional Photographers of America. To hear more on the subject of PPA you can listen to our lbobi Radio interview of David Trust CEO of PPA from this years ImagingUSA convention.
If you watch close you will see a picture of my lovely bride Allison Rodgers at the beginning of the video. I looked but I think my cameo was left on the editing room floor, guess I need to make some calls about this oversight. Near the end I saw her name on a sign as well. So in a sense I guess my name (Rodgers) did make the cut after all. : )
