Light source? The Moon : night shots from Rosemary Beach

Last week while we were on vacation at Rosemary Beach Florida, I went out at 1am to do some photo experiments. I wanted to try out shooting long exposure shots. I have tried it on a smaller scale a couple of times but this time I wanted to take the tripod and the intervalometer down to the beach. It worked out well, and after a couple of experimental shots I got the hang of it. It was actually a bit creepy being down at the beach at night all by myself, especially when a giant dog came running by. I survived though, in case you were wondering.

I like how there are strong shadows from the full moon. The light is strange I noticed, it's like there is a color missing.

Here are the results.
Camera: Canon 7D
Lens: 16-35mm
ISO: 200-640
Aperture: 5.6
Shutter Speed: 60 sec.

Standing on the shore looking out to sea. It's bizarre how it looks like ice.
