This best sums up facebooks new service, video chat. It's a simple one click process to talk to any friend via facebook. If you have a camera and mic you can call any friend that is online and speak to them. Facebook has partnered with Skype to bring this service to facebook users. Side note: Skype is now owned by Microsoft so this ties facebook closer to them.

"The service is not yet available on mobile. Mr. Zuckerberg (facebook CEO) said the partnership is indicative of Facebook's strategy of not having to build out every feature, but rather letting companies that specialize in aspects of certain technologies build on top of the social network's existing and far-reaching platform. "

I was experimenting with it today and you can even close the facebook window and the small pop up video chat window stays active.
